About The Chamber

The mission of the Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce is to promote and encourage the commercial, industrial, agricultural, civic, social, economic, tourism, and educational interests of the Gilmer County area, including Ellijay and East Ellijay. In an effort to reach this goal, the Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce supports its member businesses through advertising and employee development classes as well as working to bring new employment opportunities to the county. Encouraging “Neighbors doing business with Neighbors” is a key function of the Chamber to helping build strong, viable local businesses.

As the lead tourism agency for the county, the Chamber also actively promotes the natural resources and tourism businesses through a staffed regional welcome center as well as representing Gilmer County at the local, state, and national level. Encouraging visitors to stay and play in Gilmer County creates jobs, promotes business, and builds for a bright future for all Gilmer Countians.
