North Georgia Medical Center is Gilmer County’s premiere health care organization.

At North Georgia Medical Center, we provide state-of-the-art medical services including imaging, surgery, emergency care, laboratory technologies, respiratory therapy, in-patient recuperation, intensive care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, cardiac stress-testing, mammography and a wealth of other medical therapies, treatments and services.

In recent years, we’ve invested heavily in acquiring the latest medical technologies.  With our new 16-slice CT scanner, our 2.0 Gauss MRI machine, our electronic med-dispense system and our wireless records access we’ve brought the best available health care technology to the people of Gilmer County.

We’ve also been able to recruit some of the best physicians with our on-site specialty clinic (featuring doctors with a wide variety of different medical specialties) and our network of internal medicine and family physicians practices—including Apple Medical Center, Internal Medicine of North Georgia, Gilmer Pediatrics and Craig Family Medicine.  Our hospital and our physician’s offices are all conveniently located in the cities of Ellijay and East Ellijay.
