About the Name
In 2001, when Dr. Burke and Dr. Hall officially formed a Partnership, they and their staff thought to determine what set their practice apart from others. They had many great qualities to offer, from well-trained, gentle and attentive staff, to state of the art facilities and equipment, but nothing defined their practice and patient care better than “Superfriendly”.
A Little History
When Dr. Burke came to Ellijay in 1973 to start the practice after obtaining his doctorate as a graduate from Emory Dental School, he found himself welcomed to a wonderful place to raise a family and began to educate the local population on the value of routine dental care. He immersed himself in the community and built a practice built on patient-first dental care.
Dr. Hall joined the practice in 1999 She graduated from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 1996 and immediately entered the U.S. Army for Advanced Education in the General Dentistry Residency Program. Dr. Hall remembers her Army days fondly and feels “honored to have taken care of some of the Army’s finest soldiers, Infantry, Rangers and Airborne”. Due to family obligations, Dr. Hall regretfully left the Army but found a welcome home in Ellijay. Dr. Hall is very involved with The Appalachian Children’s Center, which helps children in our community who have been abused.
Involved in the Community
Dr. Burke and Dr. Hall love this community. You may only see them for an hour or two, two or three times a year, but they see you out in public, they know your kids, what’s going on in your life. Over the years they’ve continued to maintain that close relationship and that’s probably the most important aspect of keeping patients comfortable and happy. Happiness seems to infuse the office of Superfriendly Dental. Whether you’re sitting in the reception area waiting to be seen or in a treatment room with state of the art equipment, you can be assured you will always be treated with respect, warmth and a genuine smile.
Quotes from the Doctors:
“Probably my single, most gratifying aspect of taking care of patients is the close relationship you develop over the years, being able to identify with them, talk to them, share things, laugh with them and occasionally cry with them; in my book, that’s really a lot of what life’s all about for me.” ~ Dr. Burke
When asked what she enjoys most about her job …. “Caring for people. I enjoy that, in any given day of my life, I really do take care of somebody age 3 to possibly 95. I enjoy that variety and enjoy people. I really love what I do.” ~ Dr. Hall
